Creator Statement
Sometimes life takes unexpected turns. I had come to a point when my main purpose of many years was fading and I was searching. I had taken a long hiatus from drawing and painting and I was just beginning to flex those muscles again. Enter BTS. An explosion of growth within me took place. My work was profoundly affected. I went from landscapes to portraits in an attempt to capture the images of the seven young men who had captured my heart. As an OT7 ARMY, I work in series, one theme for seven paintings. In this series, I explored images of the members performing. I was interested in images that express both the passion and the beauty of their performances with an emphasis on dramatic lighting effects.
