Katie Hulme is a board-certified (American Board of Radiology) Diagnostic Medical Physicist specializing in Breast Imaging who is thankful to BTS for stimulating the neglected “right half” of her brain in her otherwise “left-brained” world. She received her BS in Physics from Duke University, and her MS in Medical Physics from MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is also the mother of two crazy kids, Eli and Emma.
She currently works as a clinical medical physicist for a large health-care enterprise. Her current research interests include exposure indicators in digital radiography, the development of vendor-neutral reject analysis in radiography, and the development of a new universal breast dosimetry method.
Growing up, she lived in both Brazil and the Netherlands. She loved being part of a diverse international community, and is grateful to ARMY for giving her such a community to call home once again.
