Like most of you, the staff of The R3 Journal spent a lot of time over the past few days soaking in the BE experience.
Immersing ourselves into it as we get to know the poetry and harmonies of each song. Floating through the album as a progression, from start to finish, and then returning to spend some extra time sinking into particular songs and moments. And maybe re-watching the different video versions occasionally in between. The emotional arc of the album includes melancholy, resentment, hope, and joy (among others). It certainly has brought a bit of solace to ARMYs as we bob along in the wreckage of 2020.
Our marketing team decided to gather our reactions to BE and do a little visual representation of data just for fun, because they’re wild that way. They put together a survey and asked the staff about our favorite song on the album, our second favorite song, which song is best for specific moods or activities, asked each of us to encapsulate BE in a single word.
The Results:
Second favorite track: “Dis-ease”
Best for…
- Studying or writing: “Blue & Grey” and “Life Goes On”
- Gaining energy: “Dis-ease” (병) and “Telepathy” (잠시)
- Rocking you to sleep, meditation, or a warm hug: “Blue & Grey”
Overall mood
- Comfort
- Healing
- Blanket
- Perfect
- Intimate
If you’re in the US, you can purchase MP3s and/or a physical album. Many major retailers (Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc.) are also carrying the album.
